The Country Fire Service Foundation (CFS Foundation) purpose is to provide immediate financial support to CFS volunteer firefighters and their families in the event of death, injury or loss of property while engaging in their community service.

The CFS Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation which exists solely to support the 14,000 CFS volunteers and their families in times of need – so they can continue the selfless work they do for the community.

It is important to highlight that CFS volunteers are on call every day of the year and attend more than 16,000 incidents annually. Not only do they fight bushfires, but they also render assistance for road crash rescues, chemical spills and assist other agencies such as the MFS and SA Ambulance Service when necessary.

The tireless work they do to help protect and support South Australian's is immeasurable and as a Foundation, we are investigating ways to provide ongoing support for all CFS volunteers now and into the future.
