Help old & desperate cats like Harry Bear
$ 5.00

Update: May, 2021 - Puddy turned 22 a few weeks ago and has spent just over a year in our care. She has regular vet checks and although her renal function is still down, the vet thought she looked great and was going very well for a 22 year old lady.

In May we saw a 20 year old cat's owner had just died. Puddy didn't look in great shape and we offered to take her and had her delivered straight to our vet. Testing revealed she was in early renal failure and had elevated blood pressure. She is now on a special renal diet, blood pressure medication and starting to look much better. She is definitely happy being treated as a princess by her lovely carer Robin. Robin lost her own elderly cat recently and contacted us as she wanted to care for very old cats. We think Puddy and Robin are a match made in heaven. They are both so happy together. Great outcome.

Please help the "golden oldies", those abandoned and needing care & desperately wanting to be loved once more. Old, bind, deaf and emaciated, Harry Bear was desperate in a pound; his future very uncertain there.

CatRescue 901 is a small group of like minded volunteers dedicating themselves to abandoned and sick kittens & cats.

We are one of a few rescue groups who help the oldie cats and not just the young. With your help they get  their second chance in life with a loving family.

Your donation will help an oldie abandoned, usually hungry and ill,  to give them love and care again. The older cats are often the abandoned and most over looked, rarely appreciated for the loving companionship that they can offer.

A kind couple, Roxie and Travis, had previously adopted two cats with a disability from us, so we rang to ask if they would consider becoming long term foster carers for him. Harry's fortune changed for the better when they said a very emphatic yes! He came on board to live with two very experienced carers of cats with disability.

The dear old fellow Harry Bear was with Roxie and Travis for a year and recently passed away peacefully in his sleep. He adored cuddles and had a very big purr. He received so much love in that year he could not have asked for more. We are thrilled that we could give this blind and deaf old gentleman a happy final year in a loving home.

So many older cats are overlooked as they are considered too hard and expensive to save. We do our very best to save the really desperate cats; as they may be considered un-adoptable by many others. This includes old, sick, disabled and blind kittens and cats.

Your donations help our teams to rescue these very disadvantaged, yet very special, cats, arrange vet work, quality food etc and so we may search for their fur-ever families.
