Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, or FRRR (phonetically “F-triple-R”), is a charitable DGR-1 endorsed foundation that connects goodwill with good purposes for the vitality of remote, rural and regional Australia.

FRRR focuses on improving outcomes in the areas of People, Place, and Disaster Resilience & Climate Solutions in the belief that targeted philanthropic investment and collaboration in these areas will build more vibrant, sustainable, and adaptive remote, rural, and regional communities.

The projects we fund are based on the needs that community groups identify within their community. Those needs can range from education – from early childhood through to adults; to helping communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters; maintaining or enhancing vital community infrastructure like halls and historical museums; supporting activities in local aged care homes; or supporting activities that help to bring people to the community, such as signage for tourist trails.

Since 2000, we’ve delivered more than $155 million in grants to close to 13,000 projects. But we can still fund only about one third of the requests that we receive each year. Can you help us and our vision to create a vibrant, resilient and revitalised remote, rural and regional Australia? All donations to FRRR over $2 are tax deductible in Australia.
