Seeing Eye Dogs Client house cleaning working bee!
The training process for clients who are being matched with their working Seeing Eye Dog involves 2-3 weeks of residential training.
Our national training headquarters is in Kensington, Victoria and clients from Victoria and other states including NSW, SA and TAS complete their training while based at the client residential training accommodation.
As the training is very intensive for clients, Seeing Eye Dogs are looking for volunteers to assist with cleaning the client residential training accommodation in Kensington, Victoria to make the experience for clients and easy as possible.
Volunteer opportunity details
Date/s available: Mon 20 Jan 2020-Friday 31/1/2020 (weekdays only)
Shift time: 10am - 3pm
Number of volunteers: 5 per day
Location: Meet at Seeing Eye Dogs, 17 Barrett Street, Kensington (Client houses located around the corner from Seeing Eye Dogs)
Volunteer role: Making sure the Seeing Eye Dogs Client houses are spic and span by sweeping all floors, changing and washing bed linen and cleaning all the bathrooms, including toilets.

A typical day with us would be:
10.00 am Greeting with briefing about us
10.30 am Head down the road to the client houses to get started
12.30pm Break for lunch (byo)
1 pm Back on the tools
3pm Wrap Up and debrief about the day
