MADEC is a not-for-profit community organisation that has been providing disability and youth support in the Mackay and Whitsunday regions for more than 50 years. As a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Provider and Licensed Child Safety Provider, we provide over 193,000 support hours every year to over 390 young people and persons with disabilities. Our services allow people to participate in the community and live meaningful, fulfilling lives.

While the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an important step for people with disabilities, it only funds reasonable and necessary supports.

Donations to MADEC go directly to items the NDIS does not cover: social and cultural activities, opportunities for new experiences that are often financially out of reach, and furnished homes for people with disabilities.

Similarly, for young people in residential care, donations are the difference between children getting to experience holidays, participating in activities, and developing new skills like other children their age.
