Help disadvantaged students gain career knowledge through a Beacon Speed Careering
$ 10.00
Many teenagers are unfortunately not surrounded by positive working role models in their life. This puts them at a disadvantage as they do not have the influence or guidance that many other youth are provided with. If support is not provided at home, Beacon’s speed careering program run at their school will introduce students to local working people who are successful in their career.

Speed careering has a speed dating concept with a careers focus. Students will hear about career pathways that they never even considered as well as gather further information on an industry that perhaps they were already interested in.

Students have the opportunity to meet an employee who works in that industry and hear firsthand what that job is like and ask questions so they can then make informed decision about their future.

At Beacon we target our programs to disadvantaged young Australians - knowing that early intervention can have a dramatic and positive impact on helping students achieve a positive post-school pathway either into employment or further education.

Your gift will fund a disadvantaged student to attend a Speed Careering session in a Beacon Member School in Australia.
