Family BBQs for Oncology Families

On the last Friday of every month, Childhood Cancer Support offers a free BBQ to paediatric oncology families. It is an evening where parents and children can unwind, eat a delicious steak and snag and enjoy one another's company in a relaxed and supportive environment. The Friday Family BBQ’s also provide Childhood Cancer Support residents and other oncology families with the opportunity to mingle and meet new people in what may feel like a very foreign city.

The Childhood Cancer Support BBQs are run by our long-serving volunteers, Brian and Lois, who provide this service with much love and dedication to our oncology families.

Childhood Cancer Support provides all food and entertainment for the evening. By donating just $10, you can help us out with these expenses to help remind families staying with us that there is a life to be enjoyed and lived and a place to escape the regular hospital trips.
