RSPCA Victoria

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Victoria) is a non-government, community based charity that works to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.
RSPCA Victoria was established in Melbourne in 1871. Since this time, the RSPCA has become Australia's leading animal welfare charity.
RSPCA Victoria operates animal care centres across the state, providing refuge, care, and offering more than 14,000 animals each year a second chance. Our community services include the work undertaken by our Inspectorate, Animal Shelters, Clinics and Education teams.
Our team of RSPCA Inspectors work to protect animals from cruelty and rescue them from dangerous situations, with over 10,000 reports investigated annually.
As a not-for-profit organisation, RSPCA Victoria relies on community support to carry out our work. More than 90% of our funding comes from the generous support of the Victorian community.
