Children with disabilities who attend our centres are very
often from single parent families (the father often sadly leaves the family
when a disabled child is born), and the mother has to eke out a living as a
labourer or similar. A Health Inspector who visited the Centre observed
that the food the children brought from home was meagre and lacking in
nutrition. As a result, we started a program to provide the children attending our
centres with a daily healthy yet simple meal consisting of a variety of protein
and fibre-rich cooked pulses. Your kind donations will be pooled to provide healthy
and tasty meals for about 40 children with disabilities in each centre. Thank
